Obituary
Loreauville, LA- James Daniel Smith, age 83, entered eternal rest on November 18, 2022, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette.
The Smith family has requested visitation hours be held Monday, November 21, 2022, from 9:30am until time of service. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00am in Greene Funeral Home Chapel.
James worked in the oilfield as a driller. He was also a Commercial Fishermen. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his love. Some of his favorite hobbies were going to the casino, fishing, playing baseball and the LSU fighting Tigers.
Survivors include three daughters, Sheila Blanchard, and Ramona Breaux both of Loreauville, LA and Sherry Branscum of Baton Rouge, LA; Daughter-n-law, Chanda Romero of New Iberia, LA; Nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
James is preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Smith; son, Michael Smith; parents, Archie and Mary Smith; Brothers, Larry Smith, Sr., Archie Smith, Jr. and Huey Smith; Stepfather, Reginal Case.
