Richard "Bubba" Lee Vincent, Jr.

New Iberia, LA ~ A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm in Greene Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Richard “Bubba” Lee Vincent, Jr., age 57.  Bubba passed away peacefully on Monday, April 17, 2023, at his residence in Kaplan.

Bubba was born in New Iberia and a resident of Kaplan.  He was a crawfisherman and he worked in construction. He was known as “Me Fix It” to his family and friends. Calling a repairman was never necessary when Bubba was available. Bubba was a loving father and grandfather who always gave chocolate to his children, grandchild, nephews, and nieces.  He enjoyed watching the little ones get messy while they enjoyed their chocolate treats.

Survivors include his adoring wife, Stacey Lee Vincent; daughter, Nola Leeanne Marie Vincent; sons, Aron Lee, and Julien Lee Vincent; sisters, Michelle Vincent Andras (Troy) and Danielle Vincent (Joe); granddaughter, Ivy Leeanne Marie Vincent.  His godchildren Troy Andras, Jr., and Sadie Bourque Landry; nephews, William Andras, Brandon Lee Andras, and Ridge Melancon; nieces, Alyssa and Haylie Vincent, and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews. 

Richard’s family would like to express a special thank you to caregivers Shellie Carter,  Ashley Rangel, Bridget Buchanan, Ora  Cormier,  Heart of Hospice, Fresinus Kidney Care in Abbeville and good friend Daniel David.

He was preceded in death by his parents Richard Lee Vincent, Sr., and the former Joyce Marie Langlinais Vincent and one sister Lisa Vincent Istre.
