New Iberia, LA- Robert Joseph Savoie, age 45, passed away November 30, 2022, at Iberia Medical Center.
The Savoie family has requested visitation be held Wednesday. December 7, 2022, from 1:00pm until 7:00pm. A rosary will be recited by The Men’s Rosary Group of New Iberia at 2:00pm. Inurnment will be held at a later date in St. Peters Cemetery in New Iberia.
Robert was the kind of guy that could take things apart in put them back together with no trouble. He loved playing the slots at the Casino and listening to rock music. Other passions were radio frequency drones and helicopters. Boiling crabs was his favorite.
Survivors include one son, Robert Joseph Savoie, Jr. of New Iberia; three daughters, Laura and Layla Savoie of New Iberia, and Ja’Niyah Delahoussaye of New Iberia; girlfriend, Harley Delahoussaye of New Iberia; one brother, Peter Paul Savoie of New Iberia; one sister, Dina Savoie of New Iberia; father, Peter Savoie of New Iberia.
Preceded in death by mother, Laura Lynn Talley; godfather, Robert Babineaux; godmother, Eunice Hobby; maternal grandparents, Elda and Jessie Talley; paternal grandparents, Jean Louise Curtis and Ferdinand Savoie.
